Current earworm: "No New Tale to Tell" by Love and Rockets
Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there.
Haven't blogged in a few weeks, so here's the skinny: I got laid off from LucasArts on April 23. I'm currently working with some headhunters to look for more work. With the baby due in less than a month(!) now, it was wonderful timing, yeah. The situation has freed me up to take care of some things around the house, though, and I've been generally upbeat so far.
A quick check of our finances shows that although it will be tight, we should be able to get by on Wendy's paycheck if I continue to get unemployment or pick up a temporary part-time job. I'll probably sell off some CD's, books, comics, and magic cards, too, now that I've got the extra time to finally get them all cataloged.
